Nord Piano Library v5
v5 is a platform for the Nord Piano sounds, that was developed originally for the Nord Piano. The platform includes both new and re-mastered sounds in the highly acclaimed Nord Piano Library. Download the sound to your Nord Piano Library v5 compatible unit, using the latest version of the Nord Sound Manager.
The Nord Piano Library v5 contains some of the finest acoustic and electric pianos on the market, and can be used in the Nord Piano, Nord Stage EX OS version 6.02 or later, Nord Stage Classic OS version 5.04 or later and Nord Electro 3 OS version 3.00 or later.
New in version v5.3: Added support for the Long Release feature in the Nord Piano 2, Nord Stage 2, Nord Electro 4 and Nord Electro 3 HP's on all Grand Pianos, Uprights, Electric Pianos and Electric Grands.
You can download the sounds for free from this website, or purchase the Nord Piano Library DVD at your local Nord retailer.
The acoustic grand pianos and uprights are available in three sizes; large, medium and small. Please note that these three sizes uses the same amount of zones and velocity levels, which means that they have the same great expressiveness and sound quality. The differences between the sizes are in the amount of String Resonance samples. This can help you optimize the memory usage in your Nord unit.
When we look for additions to the Nord Piano Library, character is everything. And when we have found that character, we try very hard to keep it. The german-manufactured grand pianos for example can be easily identified by the woody qualities of their distinctive timbre and you can clearly spot the dynamic smoothness from their Japanese counterparts. The uprights all have a distinct sound of their own, ranging from the almost grand-like Queen Upright, a great selection of wonderful European uprights to the Honky Tonk, that sounds like it could have been taken right out of an adventure film from 1904.
No two vintage electric pianos sound the same anymore, and the Nord Piano Library v5 versions are no exception - there is enough character in this category to keep you smiling for a long time. The variety that we offer from the '67 Sparkletop with its felt hammers and non-tapered original Ray-Mac tines, via the Mk I's, Mk II, the ''dyno-modified'' Mk I Suitcase to the rare Mk V, the Wurlitzer A200, the CP80 and the Clavinet D6's four pickup positions is unsurpassed.
The rich and mighty Harpsichords offers you an exquisite pallet of sounds, with the proper key-release noises when the quills hit the strings again on the return after you've released the key, and a selectable, natural string resonance in the Nord units that support this feature.
