Derry deBorja

Nord Electro 4Associated acts:
Derry deBorja began his musical career in Washington, DC as keyboardist for the band, Canyon. Their brand of psychedelia-tinged Americana combined with an energetic and emotional live show quickly earned them a local and national following as well as the ear of Uncle Tupelo/Son Volt founder Jay Farrar.
deBorja and Canyon went on to back Farrar on a string of national tour dates, the result of which is documented on Jay Farrar’s 2004 solo release Stone, Steel And Bright Lights. In 2005, deBorja left the familiar environs of DC to join Son Volt. He toured extensively in support of the newly formed lineup’s Okemah And The Melody Of Riot and contributed to the recording of The Search (2007). deBorja found a new home in 2007 with Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit in which he is currently a full-time member. Derry deBorja currently resides in Nashville, TN and is an active participant in the city’s local music and recording scene.
