Kris Bowers hit the globe touring and recording with jazz artists Marcus Miller, José James, Terell Stafford, Vincent Herring, Louis Hayes, Casey Benjamin, and Kenneth Whalum III. He performed at the prestigious NEA Jazz Masters Awards in 2012, where he guested with Frank Wess’s, Benny Golson, Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. Kris won the 2011 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition Award and was the first recipient of the Luther Henderson Scholarship at Juilliard; where he completed his Masters degree in Jazz Performance with a focus on film composition in 2012. Kris has worked with other artists including: Murs, Q-Tip, Ludacris, Jay-Z and Kanye West, and he’s featured on, Watch the Throne. He’s also performed for notable individuals including Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and President Barack Obama.
