A central Massachusetts native, Paul Buono relocated to New York City during his college career and received his Master's Degree in Jazz Studies from The Aaron Copland School of Music. While in NYC, Paul performed with jazz icons Wynton Marsalis, Antonio Hart, Regina Carter, Lage Lund, and prestigious dance company Alvin Ailey. His skills as an arranger and improviser earned him a position as Musical Director onboard Princess Cruises. Later returning to New York City, he began performing in various jazz and pop/rock venues around the city.

Paul recently toured with Maroon 5 on their "OverExposed" world tour as a member of Javier Colon's band (Season 1 winner of NBC's "The Voice") and continues to perform with Javier. He has worked extensively with producer Dan Mackenzie (Martin Sexton, Joss Stone), jazz vocalist Abigail Riccards, Sam James ("The Voice" Season 3), and Nashville artist April Kry. Paul enjoys working in a variety of musical styles and has performed as musical director and keyboardist for many musical theater productions throughout the Northeast.
