2013-06-12 We have just added a bunch of amazing new Nord Lead 4 demos by Federico Solazzo – all of them performed 100% live, with no sequencers, external processing or overdubs.

Solazzo demos cover a lot of bases including creative use of the new "Ladder M" and "Ladder TB" filter simulations, the extremely flexible Impulse Response functionality, the Pattern feature and other goodies. Enjoy!

Important bugfix!

2013-06-12 This update fixes an issue where files with illegal characters (downloaded files with %20 that represent spaces, for instance) in their name could be transferred to the unit, and then become invisible in the unit. Such illegal characters will now be replaced in the units.

This version also fixes an issue in the v6.28 version that erroneously renamed pianos, by replacing the dot in the version number (e.g. 5.x) with a hyphen. Many thanks to Peter in the Netherlands who reported this to us!

This version also adds support for the new Nord Lead 4.

New in the Nord Sample Library!

2013-05-16 The Hound was a digital synthesizer module with analog filters (VCF) developed in the late nineties by the Dutch company Cirko Electronics. Although it received good reviews when released, only 20 units were ever produced. It had a special "fatness" parameter that gave the sound more meat when applying a lot of resonance, 4-outputs and was 16-part multitimbral. Thanks to Eric van den Berk for making these samples!

2013-04-13 The MusikMesse in Frankfurt was great fun with lots of people checking out the new Nord Lead 4 and Nord Drum 2! On our stage the amazing Federico Solazzo and drummer Satindra Kalpoe are performed live shows with the Lead 4, Nord Drum 2 and Nord Pad, and Lars Peter presented the Nord Piano 2 HP. We were also so lucky to have norwegian producer Jon-Eirik Boska improvise some really wild live sets using only the Nord Drum 2 and our Nord Beat iPad app!

Now updated with more pictures from our booth and also a few of the other things we saw during our days at the MusikMesse!

The Nord Drum 2 is a 6-channel Modeling Percussion Synthesizer that combines the playability of real percussion with unique and powerful sound creation possibilities! New features included Resonance modeling, FM-synthesis, distortion effects, stereo outputs with panning and CC-control. We're also releasing the Nord Pad, a responsive, compact multi-pad designed to be the perfect companion to the Nord Drum 2 with an elegant single cable ethernet connector. The Nord Pad is available as an optional accessory.

2012-09-28 The new Nord Electro 4 SW73 has twice the memory capacity of its acclaimed predecessor, Nord Electro 3 SeventyThree, letting you fit more sounds from our unique Nord Piano and Sample Libraries.The Organ section has been upgraded to the latest Tone Wheel engine from our dual manual organ Nord C2D, including a new 122 Rotary speaker simulation and Drive.

The Nord Electro 4 SW73 completes the new Electro 4 family, joining the Nord Electro 4 HP and Nord Electro 4D SW61, introduced earlier in 2012.
