James Black is currently Musical Director for the Decade long National Rock music quiz show on SBS TV. Using a Nord stage 2 and an extra controller James manages to make the 3 piece Rockwiz Orkestra sound huge. He pushes the potential of the Stage 2 to its limits. The biggest sounding little band on Television has backed almost every Australian rock music artist from today's young stars to the Legends of Australian Music over the last thirty years!

As well as producing records and playing sessions James continues to play keyboards with his eighties band MONDO ROCK recreating the sounds he originally created on the Prophet 5 and other classic synths of the era. He also performs with the Black Sorrows, Deborah Conway, and the blind indigenous singer Gurrumul.
