Michael Wilson-Trollip

Michael Wilson-Trollip is a keyboardist, film composer, final mixer, sound designer, and music producer from Cape Town, South Africa. His musical journey began at six with classical piano lessons, later mastering the oboe, voice, and pipe organ with Grade 8 distinctions in all four instruments. He has won numerous awards as a composer and performer and opened for the legendary Johnny Clegg at the age of 16. He was accepted into both University of Southern California and Berklee College of Music on a scholarship.

He has worked on TV movies, local dramas, award-winning films, and composed the score for a top 10 Netflix movie.

Now operating from his studio in Cape Town, Michael is endorsed by Nord SA and Sennheiser/Neumann, recognized as an innovative Dolby Atmos Engineer, and respected as one of South Africa's leading session keyboardists. He has performed with SAMA winning artists, worked with "The Voice SA Artists" and was nominated for a SAFTA. Michael has most recently signed a global publishing contract with Peermusic.
