Marcin Grochowina is one of the very few concert pianists who, in addition to the classical repertoire, have mastered jazz and improvisation at a high professional level. With unusual programs, such as a George Gershwin project, compositions from the Theresienstadt concentration camp, and others, Grochowina attempts to break through the specialization of concert performance and meaningfully combine the artistic gestures of composition and improvisation.

His piano recital Classic meets Jazz, recorded on Südwestrundfunk radio and featuring works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Frédéric Chopin, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis, received great attention.
